June Speed Weekend - Round Up

Added Wednesday 12th June 2019
Many thanks to all that attended a well supported June Speed Weekend here at Lochgelly Raceway, despite a less than promising weather forecast.

The 1300 Stock Car European Championship seen Stewart Aitken cross the line in first place, however was subsequently removed from the result for not having the same style hub's on either side of the car. As a result of this, Zak Gilmour the 2nd placed driver inherited the 2019 European Championship after passing all car checks.

The 2.0 Hot Rod European Championship was won by Dave Leech who was in excellent form throughout the weekend after an on track incident put an end to the battle for the lead which seen Jim Pitcaithly and Mitch Souter crash out of contention.

The visiting Rebel formula put on a great show across the weekend, which seen World Champion Ian Chalkey leave with the European Championship as well!

All results, and the latest points charts, are now available on our website.

We'd like to thank everyone that made the weekend possible and that little bit extra special -
