1600cc Bangers

The 1600cc (Formerly Rookie) Bangers formula at Lochgelly Raceway will run to the Spedeworth 1600cc Bangers specifications.

The 1600cc banger class is one that is growing in size throughout the UK, and with around 300 cars participating at recent World Finals, it is a formula that is certainly one that drivers are keen to race!

Equally entertaining and interesting is the type of car that is used in this formula, where cars considered useless are resurrected and brought back into service.

National Points run from World Final to World Final, and from 2021-22, the cut off being 1 month before the actual World Final date. This is to give drivers time to prepare for the World Final, and know who the qualifying drivers will be. This will be for the 1600cc Banger World Final at Spedeworth.
